Homeowners - Posted: 15 Feb, 2007

Josh and I are homeowners now. We bought our first house in Fountain Hills, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Josh moved in on February 1 and has begun remodeling it with his dad, Tim. I will be moving in once we are married. There still is a lot to do to the house, but it will look great once we are done. Both Josh's parents, Tim and Cindy, have helped us out tremendously. We couldn't have done any of it without them!

The Engagement! - Posted: 18 Dec, 2006

Josh and I were putting up our Christmas decorations in my room. In February we will have been together for 5 years. Our first Christmas we bought a 3 foot tree and started the tradition of exchanging ornaments on the 14th of December. I have class on the 14th this year, so we decided tonight to do our decoration and ornament exchange on December 13th. The room had Christmas tunes going and the lights were all lit up. I gave Josh his ornament, and then he gave me mine. It was a little wrapped box. I opened the box, and there was a white ring box hanging from a ribbon. I stared at it for a while and then asked, in a choked up voice, "Is this what I think it is?" He had the biggest smile on his face and nodded. I began to cry. He took the box from me, and got on one knee, and opened the box to reveal the most beautiful engagement ring. He then said "Andrea, will you marry me?"

My hand was over my mouth, still crying I nodded and said, "yes, of course." He jumped up, hugged me, and then placed the ring on my shaking hand.

It was like a dream. Perfect. I couldn't have been more excited. I will always have my empty ring box hanging on my tree every Christmas, to remind me of this special moment.

I am so excited to begin my life with Josh, not that He hasn't been my life the past 5 years.
