The Bride's Story

Andrea Nicole Lawrence was born on October 21, 1985. She has lived in Fountain Hills, in the same house, her whole life. Growing up she had an incredible imagination and fantastic creativity. She also had a love for animals, and had many pets such as fish, hamsters, hermit crabs, and one rabbit. Her most beloved pet was her yellow lab puppy she received for her 10th birthday, Boaz. Andrea tried many different sports and activities over the years, such as basketball, soccer, tennis, t-ball, softball, volleyball, golf (1 week... her dad's idea), horseback riding, and violin, all of which lasted 1 or 2 years. She took dance, tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical & hip-hop, for 8 years. She was also a Girl Scout for 5 years. Andrea became very involved in her youth group in middle school, and in 8th grade she discovered a love for the ministry and decided that mission work would always be a part of her life. Once she began high school, she became very involved as a middle school sponsor helping with youth group and bible studies, while also attending camps as a counselor. She also took advantage of attending the annual High School Mexico mission trip in February. Andrea's senior year of high school she decided that she wanted to pursue a career in graphic design and applied at the Art Institute of Phoenix. Her senior year she also began taking general education courses at Scottsdale Community College. Andrea graduated from Fountain Hills High School May 2004 and won a scholarship for having the most community service hours. In October of 2004 she began college. In 2005 she started freelance work, and in 2006 she worked for a year at HR Agency services, her first real graphic design job. Also in 2006, Andrea traveled for the first time outside of North America to Peru for a 9-day mission trip. It was one of the greatest experiences in her whole life. Andrea graduated in June with her Bachelors of Art in Graphic Design. Also in June, Andrea traveled to the San Juan Islands with her mom's side of the family to celebrate her grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. She had a wonderful time. Andrea currently works as an in-house graphic designer at Aspen Systems, Inc. in Phoenix. She also finds time to run her own freelance company called Lawrence Designs.
